Wheelchair accessibility
The 40+ year old wheel chair lift has been replaced with a new model that can carry up
to 1,000 pounds/454 kg. Handicapped access to St. James Hall has been significantly improved
and new access to the western portion of the main floor has been created.
This improvement has been made possible with financial assistance from The City of Vancouver,
Canada Western Bank, The Highbury Foundation, F.K. Morrow Foundation, The John Hardie Mitchell Foundation,
and The Hylcan Foundation, plus individual donors.

Kodaly/Orff based program for 3 months - 5 years. (grouped
by age): Sing, play instruments, enjoy imaginative ear-training
games and eventually read/write music in a playful yet structured
environment. Through games children learn to listen well,
sing in-tune develop a deep musical understanding prior to
learning an instrument . Through Colourstrings/
Kodaly children 4.5yr + may choose to study Violin, piano,
Cello, flute, guitar.

to discover and realize their potential in a secure yet challenging
